ABOUT ME

I knew from a very young age that writing and traveling would always play an important part of my life. Growing up in Denton, Texas was like living in a very safe and secure bubble, but I longed to be exposed to the world beyond what I knew. In 2010, I went on my first trip abroad with my high school French club, and I knew I wanted more.

I've had many different career paths planned early on that I believed would allow me to experience the world: archeology, photography, marine biology, hospitality, and journalism. Being able to live and travel to many different places across the world has enlightened me to global issues, phobias, and ways of living I previously knew nothing about and allowed me to examine my own biases and privilege in a new light.

Now, still maintaining my writer's heart, as I proceed with furthering my education, I do so in the hopes that my work can somehow contribute to fostering diversity and inclusion, internationalizing education, and combatting stigmas surrounding mental health. I’m never afraid to tackle any project or find new, creative ways to come up with something fresh and original. Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to learn more about my work or my experiences.
